The Friends of the Paris Library is celebrating National Library Week by sponsoring a contest called DIY Book Art that will run through May 7. Area residents are invited to enter art/craft projects made with old books. An information sheet is available on our website and at the library.
The Friends of the Paris Library are pleased to announce the winners of the Chill Out and Read winter reading program, after a random drawing from the 24 entries at last night's Friends meeting:
Smoke Trail BBQ ($25) gift card -- Clorissa Strange
Red's Fun Zone ($20) gift card -- Cori Seeley
Kroger's ($20) gift card -- Phyllis Franck
Tuscany's ($15) gift card -- Cheryl Gill
Subway ($10) gift card -- Jim Franck
We thank the local businesses that donated gift cards and everyone who joined in the reading fun.
Why should kids have all the fun? Join us in the library's meeting room for another relaxing evening of coloring at 6pm on April 28.
Just a bunch of grown-ups in the library, coloring and enjoying each other's company. We have scheduled 90 minutes, but you may come late or leave early as your schedule permits.
Materials will be furnished, but you are welcome to bring your own.
The Paris Book Club meets in the library's Gibson Room at 5pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The group has chosen a wide variety of books to read and discuss in the coming months. Everyone is welcome. All you have to do is read the book and come to the discussion.
