Paris Public Library's weekly fall storyhour series will begin on October 29. Storyhour is a weekly program of stories, fingerplays, and simple crafts for children ages 3, 4, and 5. It meets on Wednesday mornings, 10:30-11:15, from October 29 through December 10.
Children who are aged 3 and older by Oct. 1 may attend. Call 463-3950 or come to the library for more information or to register.
Paris Public Library buys hundreds of new books, audiobooks, and DVDs each year. The library now offers you weekly email alerts showing you the newest books, DVDs, and audio books added to the library each week. We hope you'll enjoy hearing about the many exciting bestsellers, movies, and recorded books almost the very moment they arrive at the library.
When you spot something of interest, you'll be able to click to the SHARE catalog and place a hold. Unlike the monthly email lists we were sending, wowbrary emails will include almost everything that we add to the catalog in the week before the email. You will have earlier notice of more items.
If you were signed up for our monthly emails of new books, DVDs, audiobooks, large print, teen, or children's books, you have already been transferred to the new format. If not, click the wowbrary image on the right and enter your email. You can quit the weekly emails any time you wish. Sign up now!
The loan period for the newest fiction at Paris Public Library has increased from 1 week to 3 weeks.
New books are still located on the white shelves near the main desk. They have a 21-Day sticker inside the cover and may not be renewed.
The eRead Illinois collection of 3M Cloud Library ebooks has grown to the point that checkout limits may be increased. You may check out 5 ebooks at a time and place holds on 5 at a time. The checkout period has also increased from 14 to 21 days.
MyMediaMall checkout remains at 14 days.
