Mother Goose lapsit storytime

Paris Public Library will begin a Toddler Lap-Sit program for children aged 3 mos. – 35 mos. and their caregivers in November.

Cara Hall will lead Mother Goose on the Loose on Thursday mornings, 10:30-11:00am beginning on November 3. No registration is needed.

Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy program that uses rhymes and songs to help young children get ready for reading.  It incorporates music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, developmental tips, nursery rhymes, illustrations, books, puppets, and musical instruments.  And it’s lots of fun!

Monthly A-B-C Fun for preschoolers

ABC blocksA-B-C Fun meets at 6:30pm on the third Tuesday of the month this fall. This 30-minute storyhour features activities, books, and crafts for ages 3, 4, and 5.

Each storyhour usually includes a song, read-alouds with a common theme, and a simple craft. To sign your child up, call 463-3950, email, or stop in so we will know how many craft materials to prepare.

NEW! Text alerts for library programs and events

Paris Public Library is now using Remind, a text messaging service, to announce programs, closings, and events. This is a separate service from the SHARE text messaging already offered to remind you of items on hold or due.

Sign up by texting @pari to 81010 or to 217-903-3462. Remind began as a service for schools so you may be asked if you are a teacher, parent, or child. (It doesn’t really matter which one you choose.) We will not overwhelm you with texts – 1 or 2 a week at the most.

Adult Coloring Night

Crayones de cera
