The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President Sharon Farris. In attendance were Trustees Mary Taylor, Roxanne Michels, Greg McHenry, Ryan Fehrmann, Amy McGilvrey, Mary Ann Tucker, new Trustee Aaron Rhoads and Librarian Teresa Pennington. Absent was Trustee Susan Punzelt. Minutes of Previous Meeting: Finance Report: Book Committee: House Committee: Librarian’s Report (Statistics): Friends of the Library: Annual Report: Old Business: *The laptop, two desktop computers and one monitor purchased with Gates Grant Phase 2 money have arrived. Pennington has installed the 2 desktops, and will install the laptop within a week. *Pennington reported that our tax-exempt status with Frontier is apparently resolved, allowing us to continue having a separate number in the phone book. *Pennington submitted the SBA Small Business & Libraries grant. New Business: *Michels completed the Open Meetings Act Officer training and Pennington completed the Freedom of Information Act Officer training for 2011. *The library no longer has service support for the copier from its manufacturer or from CDS due to the age of the copier. MOTION: Tucker, second McHenry to authorize Pennington to use around $3500 to buy a used copier with a maintenance contract. Librarian’s Announcements: *The Shooting Stars 4-H Club/Girl Scout Troop 290 gave the library a gift of $475 because it disbanded. Pennington sent a thank you, and will use the money for children’s resources. *Pennington bought a CD/DVD repair/cleaning machine. *The annual automation fee is estimated at $5,058, down slightly from last year.
