The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President George Griffin. In attendance were Roxanne Michels, Greg McHenry, Cherie Lehman, Evie Gill, Ginny English, Karen Earlywine, Bruce Young and Librarian Teresa Pennington. Absent was Trustee Susan Punzelt.
The oath of office was taken by new board members.
Minutes of Previous Meeting: MOTION: Lehman, second by Earlywine to approve as written. Motion carried.
*Finance: The fiscal year ends April 30. MOTION: Michels, second by McHenry to approve the report. Motion carried.
*Book: No report.
*House: The north door was broken December 7. It was repaired by Tee Jay Central when they came to inspect. Fortunately, it was only inaccessible for 1 day. There was discussion of security cameras; to be approached again when the budget comes due.
*The Pauline McClain CD was not renewed in preparation of replacing the air conditioners.
*Larkfield Glass has several pieces of the new glass artwork for the East entrance on display at the Paris Art Center. It will need to be illuminated.
Librarian’s Report: Computer use was up. MOTION: English, second Michels to approve November report. Motion carried.
Months review: The Christmas tree is showing its age. It will need to be replaced.
*Friends: Hosted Christmas At the Library; Book sale and the Big Read are upcoming.

New Business: MOTION: McHenry, Earlywine second to approve 2017 meetings and closing calendar. Motion carried.
*Pennington reported that several (6) computers will need to be replaced in the future. The library needs to be able to print from Smart Phones and has library specific needs concerning computers. She will apply for a Wal-Mart Grant and it was suggested we speak to the Edgar County Community Foundation.
