The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President Sharon Farris.  In attendance were Mary Taylor, Roxanne Michels, Ryan Fehrmann, Aaron Rhoads, and Librarian Teresa Pennington.  Absent were Trustees Greg McHenry, Amy McGilvrey, and Susan Punzelt.

Minutes of Previous Meeting:  MOTION:  Michels, second Fehrmann to approve minutes with correction of the word “Pungent” to the name Punzelt under New Business.  Motion carried.

Finance Report:  MOTION:  Taylor, second Michels to approve report.  Motion carried.

Book Committee:  The library purchased 19 fiction, six nonfiction, 13 children’s fiction, four children’s non-fiction, and six young adult titles.

House Committee:  No report.

Librarian’s Report (Statistics):  MOTION:  Fehrmann, second Michels to approve report.  Motion carried.

Friends of the Library:  No report.

Old Business: 
*Pennington reported that about 100 people attended “Shakespeare in the Park.”  MOTION:  Taylor, second Fehrmann, to ask Stone Soup Shakespeare to perform again in Paris in 2013 if the Paris Park Board votes to invite them back.  Motion carried.  
*The annual nonresident card fee will be $32.00, beginning July 1, 2012.

New Business:
*Board members reviewed the Annual Report.
*MOTION:  Michels, second Fehrmann to withdraw the $113,883.04 (the bond in Edgar County Bank that matures on June 15, 2012) when it matures for Dennis Thiel, Paris City Treasurer, to invest, less $3524.59 that will be deposited in the MMDA Checking at Paris First (see Paris Public Library Accounts).

Librarian’s Announcements:
*The library will be closed July 4.
