The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Vice President Ryan Fehrmann. In attendance were Mary Taylor, Aaron Rhoads, George Griffin, Roxanne Michels, Susan Punzelt, and Librarian Teresa Pennington. Absent were Trustees Hannig, McHenry and Farris.
Minutes of Previous Meeting: MOTION: Griffin, second Michels to approve October 20 minutes as read. Motion carried.
Finance Report: MOTION: Michels, second Punzelt to approve October report, to recognize October checks and deposits and October invoices for payment, and to authorize the purchase of 19 adult fiction and five adult non-fiction titles from Baker & Taylor. Motion carried.
Book Committee: No report.
House Committee: The men’s restroom lock had to be repaired again.
Librarian’s Report (Statistics): MOTION: Rhoads, second Punzelt to approve the October report. Motion carried.
Friends of the Library: Christmas at the Library will be December 4 for children up through the age of eight.
Unfinished Business: The board will not have to vote on supporting the city’s application for an enterprise zone designation.
New Business: Pennington reported on teens misusing the library building and grounds after school.
Librarian’s Announcements: Eleven children are registered for Storyhour, which began October 29.
*The library will be open regular hours tomorrow Veterans Day. It will be open 10-4 Wednesday November 26 and closed Thanksgiving Day.
