Did you receive a tablet or ereader as a gift during this holiday season? You don't have to purchase books to read or listen to on it - use the library.

Paris Public Library offers ebooks and e-audiobooks through two shared collections, MyMediaMall and 3M Cloud Library. All you need is a valid library card and a device compatible with one or both of the options.

MyMediaMall has been around for many years; it will work with most devices, from basic Kindles and ereaders (with a computer) to smartphones and tablets (using the Overdrive app). 3M Cloud Library opened in November 2013 as part of eRead Illinois and added audiobooks in December 2014. It will work with most devices, except basic Kindles. You can find 3M titles in the 3M Cloud app or through the SHARE catalog, then read them in the app.

For details about setting up your device and downloading books, see our newly revised instructions for:

There is also a general troubleshooting guide for 3M Cloud Library.

Brochures are also available at the library. Please note that the Illinois Heartland Library System upgrade on Dec. 26 will prevent logging in to MyMediaMall and 3M Cloud Library for most of the day. You will be able to browse the collections but will not be able to borrow or place holds.
