The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President Sharon Farris.  In attendance were Trustees Mary Taylor, Roxanne Michels, Ryan Fehrmann, Amy McGilvrey, Aaron Rhoads and Librarian Teresa Pennington.  Absent were Trustees Mary Ann Tucker and Greg McHenry.

Minutes of Previous Meeting:  MOTION:  Michels, second Rhoads to approve minutes as read.  Motion carried.

Finance Report:  MOTION:  Fehrmann, second Michels to approve report.  Motion carried.

Book Committee:  48 fiction and nonfiction books were purchased in June.  No Lucy Bishop funds were used.

House Committee:  No report.

Librarian’s Report (Statistics):  MOTION:  Fehrmann, second McGilvrey, to approve report as read.  Motion carried.

Friends of the Library:  McGilvrey reported that the next Friends meeting will be Monday July 18 at 6:00 p.m..  Ken Polky will visit the library on August 20 for another evening of chess instruction and games.

Old Business:
*The library has purchased a used Konica-Minolta C451 from CDS Office Technologies for $3500 to replace the old copier.
*The library was awarded the SBA Business and Libraries Working Together grant.  We have received some training DVDs; more equipment will be shipped later.

New Business:
*MOTION:  Taylor, second Michels to have the library subscribe to Universal Class.  A subscription to this service gives our patrons access to hundreds of free online classes ranging from technical knowledge to personal enrichment.

Librarian’s Announcements:
*Pennington reported on the Summer Reading Program.  About 175 children and adults attended the magic show at The Hangar--the culmination of the program.
*The annual book sale will be held in September.
