The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President Sharon Farris.  In attendance were Mary Taylor, Greg McHenry, Amy McGilvrey, Aaron Rhoads, George Griffin, Roxanne Michels, Ryan Fehrmann and Librarian Teresa Pennington.  Absent was Trustee Susan Punzelt.

Minutes of Previous Meeting:  MOTION:  Griffin, second McHenry to approve minutes.  Motion carried.

Finance Report:  MOTION:  Michels, second McHenry to approve report.  Motion carried.

Book Committee:  The library purchased 25 fiction and six nonfiction titles.

House Committee:
*Pennington reported that the library has not yet received from Francis & Associates specifications and bid documents for painting the exterior trim surfaces of the library.
*McHenry reported that the downstairs plaster project was finished.  Actual costs were $2439.00 for plastering, $1156.11 for painting by Tim Saiter, and $100.00 for carpet patching by Rick Cottle for a total cost of $3695.11.

Librarian’s Report (Statistics):  MOTION:  McHenry, second Michels to approve report.  Motion carried.

Friends of the Library:  The Friends donated $750 to the library to use as it wishes.

New Business:
*Gwen Montgomery was hired as new part-time Library Clerk.
*MOTION:  Fehrmann, second Rhoads to approve Collection (Materials Selection) Policy review.  Motion carried.
*Materials inventory was completed.  189 missing items were withdrawn.
*Board members reviewed the Per Capita grant application.
*Pennington reviewed the SHARE (future IHLS catalog) tentative timeline.

Librarian’s Announcements:
*Library will be closed Saturday, September 29 for Honeybee Festival.  Storyhour begins October 16.  Mark Twain (Dave Ehlert) will speak on October 30; registration is required.  A program on the Sisters of Providence in the Civil War will be presented on November 15.

Meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.  Next meeting is Monday, October 15, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. (library will be closed October 8 for Columbus Day).
