The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President Sharon Farris. In attendance were Mary Taylor, Greg McHenry, Susan Punzelt, George Griffin, Ryan Fehrmann, and Librarian Teresa Pennington. Absent were Trustees Amy McGilvrey, Aaron Rhoads, and Roxanne Michels.
Minutes of Previous Meeting: MOTION: McHenry, second Punzelt to approve minutes. Motion carried.
Finance Report: MOTION: McHenry, second Griffin to approve report. Motion carried.
Book Committee: MOTION: Griffin, second Fehrmann to authorize the library to purchase 21 adult and 19 children’s fiction titles, and six adult, five children’s and four young adult nonfiction titles at a cost of $525.94. Motion carried.
House Committee: Pennington reported that the restroom door locks have been installed. The interior front doors will be removed for refurbishing and will be reinstalled by Christmas.
Librarian’s Report (Statistics): MOTION: McHenry, second Punzelt to approve report. Motion carried.
Friends of the Library: Pennington reported that 55 children and about 45 adults attended Christmas at the Library.
Unfinished Business: Pennington applied for teen/young adult materials in compliance with the categories set forth in the WalMart grant.
New Business: Staff training for the new Polaris system begins January 2013.
Librarian’s Announcements: The library will be closed December 24 and 25 for Christmas. It will be open from 10:00-4:00 December 31 and closed New Year’s Day.
