The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President George Griffin. In attendance were Mary Taylor, Evie Gill, Greg McHenry, Roxanne Michels, Susan Punzelt, Ginny English, Sharon Farris and Librarian Teresa Pennington. Absent was Trustee Karen Earlywine.
Minutes of Previous Meeting: MOTION: McHenry, second Gill to approve April 11 minutes. Motion carried.
Correspondence, communications and public comments: None.
Finance Report: MOTION: McHenry, second Punzelt to approve the April report, to recognize April checks and deposits and invoices for payment, and to authorize the purchase of 22 adult fiction, eight adult non-fiction, 10 children’s fiction, 12 children’s non-fiction and three Young Adult fiction from Baker & Taylor. Motion carried.
Book Committee: No report.
House Committee: MOTION: English, second Farris to pay Art Reese $485 to temporarily patch a damaged section of the northwest corner of the roof of the original building, and $2464 to permanently repair it. The roof was damaged by wind, rain and hail during the April 26 storm. Motion carried.
Librarian’s Report (Statistics): MOTION: Michels, second Farris to approve the April report. Motion carried. Members read the April Review.
Friends: Pennington reported that the Chill Out and Read program and DIY BookArt Contest were completed. Shelley Kelsheimer is stepping down as president after six years.

Miscellaneous: Farris asked about the possibility of a book cart at the Edgar County Jail. Discussion. Members responded favorably to this idea. She will get more information.
