Public notice is hereby given that the Paris Carnegie Public Library will receive sealed bids for an offer to modernize an elevator at the Paris Carnegie Library, located at 207 S. Main St. in Paris, IL 61944.
Offers will be received at the Paris Carnegie Public Library, 207 S. Main St. in Paris, IL 61944, before 1:30 p.m. local prevailing time on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Offers should be sealed and marked “ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION” on the outside lower left-hand corner of the envelope. A single stipulated sum bid will be received for ALL work.
A Bidder’s Conference has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on the 28th day of July at the location of Paris Carnegie Public Library, 207 S. Main St., Paris, IL 61944.
Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids received, to determine the lowest responsible bidder or reject any or all bids.
Bidder will be required to provide Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond executed by bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company acceptable to the owner in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing under the contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS130/1-12).

Bids will be opened publicly at the Paris Carnegie Library at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022.
Minority and Female Business Subcontractor/Supplier participation is encouraged.
