Another virtual Illinois Libraries Present author program will be available through Paris Public Library in June.
An Evening with Michelle Zauner
Rescheduled to June 30, 7pm. Register
The virtual program, An Evening with Michelle Zauner, in partnership with Illinois Libraries Presents, was moved from May 18th to Thursday, June 30th at 7pm. Michelle Zauner and her band will be appearing on Saturday Night Live on May 21st and that is the reason for the date change. If you are already registered for this program, your registration has been changed to the new date and you will receive a confirmation in your email reflecting that.
Best known as a singer and guitarist who creates indie pop under the name Japanese Breakfast, Grammy Award-nominated Michelle Zauner has won acclaim from major music outlets around the world. She discusses her music career and her bestselling book Crying in H Mart. Her memoir about growing up Korean American, losing her mother, and forging her own identity was a New York Times notable book of the year.
Join us on Zoom for her conversation with Jessica Hopper, Chicago-based music critic, producer, and author. After registering, you will receive a link to view the virtual event.
