The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President George Griffin. In attendance were Karen Earlywine, Evie Gill, Janine Brann, Cherie Lehman, Bruce Young, Richard Gross, Roxanne Michels and Librarian Teresa Pennington. Absent was Trustee Susan Punzelt.
Minutes of Previous Meeting: MOTION: Gross, second by Young to approve February 11, 2019 minutes. Motion carried.
Correspondence, communications and public comments: None
Committee Reports:
*Finance: MOTION: Brann, second by Lehman to accept finance report. Motion carried.
*Book: None
*House: None
Librarian’s Report: Library usage was slightly lower for the month. MOTION: Earlywine, second by Gill to approve statistics report. Motion carried.
*Friends: The Book Sale was held March 8 and 9 and continues. With the extra items sold, the total was about $1,300 to be used toward purchase of a new electronic sign.
Old Business: None
New Business: Librarian Pennington presented the proposed budget for May 2019-April 2020. MOTION: Gross, second by Lehman to accept proposed budget. Motion approved.
Miscellaneous: The library will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Very Hungry Caterpillar. Children ages 2-5 will enjoy an hour-long program on March 30. Children must sign up to attend.
