Shakespeare in the Park

Stone Soup Shakespeare returns to Twin Lakes Park on Saturday, May 26, at 6pm to present Shakespeare as only they can. Bring something to sit on (and a picnic if you’d like) for this free outdoor performance of The Taming of the Shrew.

Stone Soup Shakespeare heads west this tour with The Taming of the Shrew. Sweet Bianca is wooed by many suitors, but they must find a husband for her willful, clever and perpetually single older sister Katherina before they can have Bianca’s hand. Set against the backdrop of the Wild West this all new reimagining of Shakespeare’s zany and controversial classic battle of the sexes explores the lengths we will go to for love…and money.

Stone Soup Shakespeare has appeared in Paris every summer since 2012. Don’t miss a chance to see their unique interpretation of Shakespeare’s plays. The show goes on rain or shine – it will move under the picnic shelter if rain.

Shakespeare in the Park is brought to you by Paris Public Library, Paris Park Board, and Friends of the Paris Library.
