Caveney introduced technology to the library by bringing in the library's first computer and starting a circulating VHS collection. The VHS collection began with a rotating collection from the Lincoln Trails Library System and grew from there.

Under Caveney, the staff had a computer, and there was a computer in the children's room with educational games.

Caveney also reorganized the children's room and updated the card catalog.
